Most travel is something you look at. This one is something you listen to.

The Korea Tourism Organization is running Korea Sound Journey, part of its

"Begin to Hear Korea" promotion — and we are inviting 10 foreign creators to

join the Sound Walking programme at Changgyeonggung Palace.

You will be handed a professional field recorder, a headset and a tripod, and

walked through the palace grounds by a guide. At three quiet spots you stop,

sit, and record whatever the palace is doing that morning — wind through

600-year-old trees, gravel underfoot, birds, the sound of a city held just

outside the walls. Then you turn that morning into a short-form video for your

own audience.

Ten creators. One morning. No second date.

WHEN AND WHERE

Friday, 2 October 2026

Changgyeonggung Palace, Honghwamun Gate (main gate), Seoul

09:30 - 10:00 Registration and ID check at Honghwamun Gate

10:00 - 10:55 Sound Walking (two groups of five, separate courses)

From 10:55 Free filming time inside the palace grounds

You must arrive by 09:30. The walk departs at 10:00 and cannot wait.

You will also need:

- 20,000+ Instagram followers

- Travel, culture or lifestyle content

- A valid passport or Alien Registration Card to show at reception

- Availability at Changgyeonggung Palace by 09:30 on Friday 2 October

WHAT YOU CREATE

One short-form video, posted on TWO platforms.

Platform 1 (fixed) Instagram Reels

Platform 2 (yours) TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or Xiaohongshu

A note on Xiaohongshu: our application form can only list Instagram, TikTok

and YouTube as channels, but Xiaohongshu absolutely counts. Chinese-speaking

creators may post to Xiaohongshu plus one more Chinese-sphere platform

(Douyin, Bilibili, WeChat Channels) instead of Instagram — just tell us in the

application which platforms you will use and give us your profile links. We

will confirm your combination with you after selection.

Speak in your own language. English subtitles are required on every video,

without exception - burned into the video, not auto-captions left uncorrected.

Your video must include the Sound Walking experience, the recording kit in

use, your face, and at least one stretch of real palace ambience with no music

over it. You must state that the video was made with the support of the Korea

Tourism Organization, introduce the "Begin to Hear Korea" promotion, and

include the main promotion video link in your caption.

DEADLINES

5 October (Mon) Draft video submitted for review - 23:59 KST

7 October (Wed) Feedback returned to you

9 October (Fri) Both posts live and both links submitted - 13:00 KST

Review is required for this campaign. Do not upload before your draft is approved.

PLEASE NOTE

- Bring your passport or Alien Registration Card. Identity is checked at reception and you cannot enter without it.

- There is no luggage storage on site. Bring only what you can carry.

- The recording kit is collected at 10:55 and the audio files stay with the organiser - record a backup on your phone as you walk.

- Changgyeonggung is a national heritage site. Follow on-site staff at all times and do not enter restricted areas.

- 84 members of the public also attend the wider event. Do not make other participants identifiable in your content.

- Both posts must stay public for 6 months, with views, likes and comments visible.

- Service fees and applicable taxes may apply when withdrawing Soo House Points.
